From the 2 day trek we did camping 200m from the crater - as can be seen in the background of the tent photo. We heard it rumbling overnight and slept through a lightning and thunder storm. We didn´t get much sleep. Fortunately our tent was waterproof. 2 months prior to our trek there was a mini ash and gas explosion but it is well monitored. There was a seismic station near where we camped.
